What we collect

About the child: their name, age, gender, photo and the story language. This is what the story itself is built from.

About the buyer: the recipient’s name, phone number and delivery address. This is what gets the book to you.

We do not ask you to create an account or a password, and we never ask for your card details on our site.

Why we need each item

The child’s name, age, gender and photo go into the story itself: the book is printed with their name and the character is drawn from their photo.

The recipient’s name and address are used to deliver the book, and the phone number to reach you about the order or the shipment.

The child’s photo

The photo is used to make and print the book, and for nothing else.

It is uploaded from your browser straight into private storage, and it never appears on any public page of this site.

Before we use it we remove the hidden data a camera normally saves inside a photo, such as where and when it was taken.

We do not publish your child’s photo in our ads, on our pages, or anywhere public without your written permission.

Parental consent

Uploading a child’s photo requires your consent as their parent or guardian, and the site will not accept the order until you confirm that consent before payment.

If you are not the child’s parent or guardian and have no right to use their photo, do not upload it.

How long we keep the photo, and deleting it

We keep the child’s photo for ninety days from the date of the order. That is long enough to produce and deliver it, and to handle a reprint or a complaint about that same order. At the end of the ninety days the photo is deleted.

You do not have to wait for that: you can ask us to delete the photo at any point before then and we will. Contact us with your order number using the details at the end of this page.

Who we share your data with

Our payment partner: receives only what is needed to take the payment. Payment happens on our payment partner’s own page, and your card details never pass through this site and are never stored by us.

Our delivery partners: receive only the recipient’s name, phone number and address, so the order can be delivered. They do not receive the child’s photo or name.

That is the whole list, and the sharing happens for those two purposes only: so the order can be paid for and delivered, and for nothing else.

We do not sell your data or your child’s data to anyone, and we do not trade it for marketing.

Measurement, and what is stored in your browser

We use measurement tools that tell us where a visit came from, which pages were opened and which buttons were used, so we can see how the site and our ads perform. They see general technical data such as an internet address and a browser type. They never receive your child’s name, your child’s photo or your address.

While you build an order we keep the draft inside your own browser, so your choices are still there if you close the page and come back. The draft expires on its own after a short period, and you can clear it by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The child’s photo is not kept in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, for a correction, or for its deletion. Contact us with your order number and we will answer you.

Changes to this page

If we change anything in this policy, the last-updated date at the top of the page changes with it. What applies to your order is the text published at the time you confirmed it.
